In his role as Chairperson, dentsu Creative, Narayan drives partnerships that enable brand transformation through a confluence of ideas, experiences, technology and influence, overseeing a clutch of 10 different brand-led and digital-led creative agencies.
In his group executive role, he is the chief steward of the Dentsu brand in India and Sri Lanka, ensuring consistency of vision and output in line with Dentsu’s global philosophy of championing meaningful progress.
In his group strategy role, Narayan drives a culture of effectiveness that delivers unmatched results for clients. He also serves on the Global Strategy & Solutions Council and the dentsu APAC Growth Council.
Narayan frequently contributes to leading publications like the Economic Times, Financial Times, Business Standard, Mint, Mumbrella Asia, Brand Equity and Campaign India. He has served on the juries at the APAC and India Effies Awards, Tangrams, Spikes, Young Spikes, and the Maddies, and is an invited speaker at leading business forums and schools across India.
Brands he has help build include Honda, Maruti Suzuki, American Express, Sprite, Ikea, Hindustan Times, Canon, Hitachi, Catch spices, Airtel, Carlsberg, Havells, Netflix, Parryware, Royal Enfield and Reckitt Benckiser, among others.
Narayan holds an MBA in Marketing from Osmania University, Hyderabad, an M.S. in Mass Communications from Iowa State University and an M.A. in Strategic Communications from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
