With the upcoming 2014 Malaysia Effie Awards well on its way, things kicked off with The Effie Bootcamp 2014, a full-day workshop held on May 28, 2014, Wednesday in Kuala Lumpur. Led by Malaysia Effie Awards 2013 jury chairman Judd Labarthe, the event attracted over 80 participants including representatives from advertisers, creative agencies and media specialists.
The bootcamp sought to educate and guide creative agencies and brands on how to market their submissions effectively, as well as all factors involved that will influence the judges’ evaluation on the overall effectiveness of campaigns, hence the theme - “Let nothing stand between you and greatness”.
The Call for Entries for the upcoming Malaysia Effie Awards are now open starting from July 3, 2014 and must be submitted latest by August 8, 2014. Campaigns that ran in Malaysia between 1 June 2013 – 30 May 2014 are eligible for entry. Campaigns may have been introduced earlier but must have run during this period. Campaigns do not have to have ended by the eligibility period above but all campaigns must have collected sufficient data by time of submission to demonstrate proof of campaign effectiveness.
