The Japanese are getting a head start in the next edition of APAC Effie Awards. On 4th July, the Japan Advertising Agencies Association (JAAA) conducted an APAC Effie Seminar in Japan and was well attended by representatives from the major agencies in Japan.
Speakers at the seminar included Mr Seiichi Shimada and Mr Kazuo Sugimoto from JAAA, Mr Takashi Takeda from Google Japan (also an APAC Effie Committee Member and judge for the 2014 APAC Effie Awards), and Mr Masaki Honda from I&S BBDO.
Beyond learning more about APAC Effie and its entry submission, participants also had the chance to hear directly from Masaki Honda, Creative Director of I&S BBDO, the agency behind the award-winning Snickers campaign – Apology Press Conference Grand Prix which has clinched a first Gold Effie for Japan at the 2014 APAC Effie Awards.
